About Mary

I have been at the Hawkeye Trader since the fall of 2005.  I started as an overwhelmed graphic designer (had never built an ad in my life!) and thought I would never learn it all.  But I’m still here, still building ads, still learning and so thankful that I found such a great job and wonderful co-workers in my little hometown of Pulaski, Iowa. (Population 268!)  In addition to building ads, I paginate the Hawkeye Trader  and am currently training to create web ads and websites for our sister company, Trader Productions.  This is a new avenue for me and I am really excited to be involved in the website business.

My husband, Wayne, and I have three grown, married children who
have blessed us with 5 adorable grandchildren, 4 girls and 1 out-numbered grandson! (Who does a pretty good job of holding his own!)  I love spending time with my family, especially cheering on my grandkids at sporting events and dance recitals.

I am an avid crafter and have been known to paint a snowman on anything that doesn't move! I sell my “wares” at craft shows every year and really enjoy mixing and mingling with people.

I believe in working hard and having a good time doing it.  At the Hawkeye Trader I am able to do just that.
